How many times have you told someone “You’re so OCD!” for simply being particular or liking things clean and tidy? Using binaural sound technology, ‘Think Twice’ aims to create immersive experiences that highlight some of the daily challenges those suffering with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder face in the hope of raising awareness of this highly trivialised condition.
OCD is an anxiety disorder, characterised by obsessions that often play on one’s greatest fears. These obsessions can then translate into compulsive behaviours that often appear irrational.Think Twice aims to shed some light on many people’s misunderstanding of what it means to suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
The designs for this campaign aim to tap into the concept of obsessive, irrational thinking and how this can translate into physical behaviours through the body and the senses. The name ‘Think Twice’ is a reference to a compulsion that is very common amongst those with OCD, counting (it also suggests to the wider public that they should ‘think twice’ about their understanding of what OCD really is).
